Thank you for your interest in the My Merry Christmas 2019 Ornament Exchange.

Your first step will be to register for the exchange here. Only those who register for the exchange will be given access to the forum set up to discuss it at the Merry Forums.

Unlike the Christmas Card Exchange, the ornament exchange can be be a little problematic. Each year one or more participants either do not send ornaments or end up sending them very late.

Things happen, especially in the bustle of an active holiday season, and we get that. But we monitor the exchange so that we select known participants who follow through and make it the joyful event it is intended to be.

So, our first step in the exchange this year will be in registering for the exchange. Your participation in the exchange will then be based upon your record on the Merry Forums. Your length of membership, your level of activity and your online reputation will be considered — as well as your past performance, if any, in this particular exchange.

Some may not be allowed into the exchange (though most probably will).

Between when the exchange opens and October 1st, 2019, we will be evaluating those who have registered. We will, at that point, invite those who have been chosen to participate via a special forum. If chosen, you will then be free there to chose an exchange partner. Once you find a partner, you will please announce it on that forum.

If you have a schedule that is challenging or other events going on that will present to you challenges in participating in the exchange please do not participate.

If your exchange goes sour, for whatever reason, you will be asked to communicate that to jeff@mymerrychristmas.com so that the details of what transpired can be explained.

The exchange will close altogether on November 8th, 2019. Ornaments must be in the mail no later than November 29th, 2019.

Please, let’s have a fun and engaging exchange this year so we can keep this traditional rolling. We list no other rules or limits on this exchange other than what is above so that you are free to infuse your own creativity into the exchange.
